Wednesday 21 April 2010: walking tour in Bruges (maximum 100 participants; time: 2 hours; offered by the organisation team)
This walk through the historical heart of Bruges will be guided by a professional and dedicated official guide. For practical reasons there will be a guide per 25 participants.
The walk starts at the town hall and will lead you along all important buildings and places of Bruges, UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
This is a perfect start to discover later that week some of the buildings and museums in detail and from the inside; this event is offered free of charge for the first 100 participants that settled the 3-day Conference pass.
Friday 23 April 2010: boat trip on the "reien" (groups of 20 participants for 6 euro per person) at 3.30 PM, place : jetty number 3, on the other side of the Gruuthuse museum.
Bruges is also called Venice of the North because of the typical small canals that meander through its town centre. During this 30 minutes trip on the water you will get another view on the most beautiful parts of Bruges. Multilingual audio explanations/comments are provided.
Friday 23 April 2010: visit to a beer brewery (groups of 20 participants at 5, 50 euro
per person, tasting included) at 5 PM at the Walplein 26.
This guided visit to brewery "De Halve Maan" lasts about 1 hour. At the end of the visit tasting of the brewed beer is evident, of course. More information www.halvemaan.be
