International class Erasmus (in ENGLISH)

In cooperation with 4 Flemish university colleges (receiving institution in rotation) including KHBO.
There is a 3 month intensive course (20 ECTS) on various aspects of inclusive education, comparative education and Flemish and European history and culture. An additional workplacement in schools (10 ECTS) is possible for exchange students.

The programmes on Mentoring, Chemistry, ICT, Plastic Arts and Counseling are organised in association with other teacher training centres and the professional development office Eekhoutcentrum.

Board Game Centre (Spellenarchief)

The Board Game Centre is a research centre of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training of KHBO. With more than 25.000 games it is one of the largest collections in the world. Its main focus is on the integration of board games in early childhood, primary and secondary teaching. Board games of all kinds are being analysed and tested for different target groups of educational objectives from language skills, mathematical insight, socio-emotional development to learning to learn ... . Each of these games is stored in a central database including all information on the best ways to use them effectively in teaching.
